In 1951 he was 51 and living at Conholt House, Chute, Andover, Wiltshire (and died later that year) and had with him his daughter Sophia and her husband Charles Wellesley with 4 children including Mary Wellesley (who became the ancestress of one Oswald Arthur Scott who married Hermione Monica who was daughter of William Ferrand Gt-grandfather of sundry Briscoes, Ferrands, P-L and one Pethick) and a mere twelve servants:
