Notes for Louisa Strange
She was originally identified as having the surname of Andrew from Burke’s Landed gentry of Scotland 2001.
However Don Montague, a Mure descendant, suggested that her surname was Strange and that she was born in Madras, citing a copy of their Marriage register record and her birth on the new LDS beta site.
Her birthplace was confirmed by the 1851 census and her and her father’s surname by the 1914 Burke’s Landed Gentry, p. 1368.
