This makes me very curious: it could well be him, particularly as he is listed as married. But where he was living was in Wimpole Street which is the classic place for private doctors of considerable expense. The Head of the house was a doctor. So I wonder if he was not in fact very well and was being treated for something or other, for which he would be paying and thus a ‘Boarder’? Or should he be described as a ‘Patient’?
It would make this clearer if his wife could be found on the census but I simply could not achieve that, neither under her married or her maiden names.
