Notes for Robert Jocelyn Earl of Roden
m. (1) Maria Stapleton, (2) Clementina Andrews.
He was made baron Clanbrassil of the UK, giving him a permanent seat in the UK House of Lords. This only lasted for two more earls as both his sons, successive earls, dsp. The earldom then reverted to his brother, but lacking the UK barony, and continues to the present day like this.
His and Maria’s second son, Thomas, died aged 2 in 1820.
