His death is not found anywhere.
Cokayne in his Complete Baronetcies says categorically that this title, of 1628 was given to the illegitimate son of a second son of an earl of Ormonde. So there is no connection with the other Butlers on this database who are Descendants of the Bastard Vicar of Dunlop, Ayrshire and quite a few of which Butlers had Pierce in their forenames.
