Broad brush he seems to have settled in South Africa and apart from one or two snippets of information, there is no public database of life events in South Africa. The same applies to all his descendants. We (the English Hamilton descendants) have been very lucky to have been contacted by South African descendants and given an up-to-date account of the family in the early 2010s. These have been accepted and used but I hope that one day some of the official records will be made public so that anyone can verify this family.
