Notes for Sir Nicholas Malby
The Brabazon book states he m. (1) N.N. Lambe, (2) Honora Bourke. The first marriage produced Henry who m. Eleanor Jobson who then m. (2) Sir Wm Sidley. Ursula was from the 2nd marriage.
DNB says he m. Thomasine Lamb and they had a son Henry and a dau. Ursula who m. Anthony Brabazon. Thomasine m. (2) George Rawe.
Essex 1558 Visitation, Vol I, p. 64 says Henry Malby of Ross, Ireland m. a dau. of Jobson who m. (2) Sir Wm Sydley.
http://www.themaltbys.net/.%5CBOOKpg101.htm says on 14 April 1584, “Lady Thomasine Malby writes Walsingham for payment of late husband’s reckonings and for favor for her son Henry.” Sounds like the first wife was still alive... Her will was proved in Dublin in 1596.
