Notes for Sir Christopher Boynton
His wife is given in the vis’n as ‘.... day of ... Conyers’ and his father is shown as Sir Thomas, whom Brad Verity reports as dying in 1402.
Foster in his Pedigrees of Yorkshire Families gives about eight generations before this Christopher going back to 1160 or so that he could verify plus another four generations of hearsay back to 1090 that he could not verify.
But beither Keats Rohan in her Domesday volumes nor C T Clay in his Early Yorkshire Families mention any Boyntons. Nor anything in Sanders’ English Baronies.
