Frome the Northants FHS bookllet of Mon Inscriptions for St John the Baptist, Thorpe Achurch, pub 2015:
“Expecting a joyfull and a glorious resurrection here lieth the bodies of THOMAS ELMES Esquire son of EDMOND ELMES of Lilford in the County of Northampt. Esqr. and of CHRISTIAN his wife, daughter and heire to WILLIAM HICKLINS of Greenes Norton in ye same Countie Esqr. by whom he had issue 7 sonnes and 5 daughters, 3 of the sonnes died young and unmarried. The rest were all living and married at the time of their decease according to ther several matches here impaled in theri severall cuotts of armes. He died ye 8 of July 1632 being 79 yeares of age. His sorrowful wyfe having lived 73 years died the 19th of April 1635 nand in memorie of her dere and worthey husband caused this monument to be ercted.”
This corrects the death date I had previously and gives the name and father of his wife.
