GeneralOf Yester, building the first castle there, bef 1267. 1255: co-regent (or 14) of Alexander III.
Notes for Hugh (II) Giffard
He was known as The Wizard, probably after his excommunication in 1258 which excluded him from the 14 co-regents.
His wife is unknown.
He also had two very probable daughters:
Margaret, prob. m. Alexander de Seton
Ada, m. Sir Andrew Gray of Broxmouth.
