Notes for Sir David de Graham
SP records some earlier generations but with lessening confidence of the ancestry.
Bruce A McAndrew in his “Scotland’s Historic Heraldry”, p. 137, reckons that this David had at least three children: Patrick who married Annabella of Strathearn, whome I have already recorded, David of Lovat who m. Matilda Bissett coheiress of Lovat and John who m. a Perthshire heiress.
Patrick the first son was murdered in 1298. His son David was one of the Graham signatories to the Dec;aration of Arbroath and himself had a son David who died c. 1376.
David the second son marrield Muriella and had a son Patrick, of Lovat, who was a second Graham signatory and an unnamed daughter. This family is not on my records as they are not related by blood.
John the third son has nothing much known of him.
