He and Joan had issue and their line continued at least for five generations, with which the Bucks 1634 Visitation agrees.
Their eldest son Thomas (d. 1599) married an Anne (d.1560), dau. of Ambrose Barker of Sonning, Berks; I wonder if there is any connection with a probably later Ambrose Barker who m. Elizabeth Slaney?
(Further Thomas has a granddaughter Elizabeth Boulstrode who m. a Sir James Whitelocke and they had a son and heir splendidly named Bullstrode Whitelock, also in the Bucks 1634 vis’n, p. 129.)
And from Bulstrode Whitelock descended Edward Cooper who married Caroline Isabella Powys.
