Notes for Sir Archibald Grant Bart
Two of his sons were successively 5th and 6th barts and both d.unm. to be succeeded by the two sons of his yst s.
These two sons succeeded as 7th and 8th bts with the last dying s.p. in 1887.
The baronetcy then passed to the great-nephew of this Sir Archibald, one Arthur Henry, the son of Eliza Coster who remarried and became a P-L ancestress.
The first Grant bt, Francis (c.1648-1726), had purchased Monymusk from the fourth Forbes bt; I wonder if there was any connection of his wife to that Forbes family?
