The Hunts 1613 visitation shows his parents to be Sir Richard Sapcote of Elton, Hunts and Anne, dau of Nicholas lord Vaux. Richard S. is shown to be the son of John Sapcote of Elton, Hunts and Elizabeth, sister and co-heir of John lord Denham and widow of Fulk lord FitzWarin; Eliz Denham also m. Thos Brandon.
