He and his descendants to Maud who married Geoffrey de Langley come via John Ravilous from Dr Coss' Edition of the Langley Cartulary.  Rosie Bevan had informed us a few days previously of this book and John then produced a dissertation with it.  Further this identifies Alfred as the brother of Rolland Haget (DD, 1002).  The whole series of Posts from John and from Gordon Kirkemo need to be read as they include transcripts of the relevant charters.  Excellent finds, nicely communicated.

As is brother was Rolland haget, whose details in K-R's DD agree well with those from Caus, it is highly likely that their father was Bertram I Haget who was living around 1140-1160.  But this requires just a tad more clrification to include him in my genealogy.  DD pp. 1001-2.
