GeneralShe is only the probable dau. of William and Mabel.
Notes for Olivia de la Mare
Oliva de la Mare was definitely the mother of Richard Thornhill as a grant of her land in Galthorn survives - W Yorks PRO. & Clay p. 294.
Olivia also had a son, and heir, Willam de Arcis (also in Clay) whose dad appears to have been Hervey d'Arcis.
Olivia's and John Thornyll's other children were:
Sarah m. Richard de Tankersley
William
Amabilia

Jan 2006, TFPL: Clay cannot find firm proof but is reasonably sure that Richard Thornhill’s wife was a sister of Mabel wife of Geoffrey de Nevill and a daughter of William de la Mare and Mabel Malherbe, being thus descended from Adam son of Swain who held Cawthorne and Culgaith. Clay also says that her first husband was a Darcy and that John Thornhill was probably her second husband (but what about her heir de Anstis in the grant of Calthorn?).
Clay says her and John Thornhill’s children were certainly Richard, probably Simon and possibly Sara who m. Richard de Tankersley.
