He had four daughters and co-heirs:
Joan, m. Sir Thomas de Hay of Locherworth, ancestor of the Hays of Errol
Alice, m. Thos Boyd of Kilmarnock
Euphemia, m. a McDowell of Mackerston
Mary, m. a Maxwell and whose son was Eustace maxwell.
This split up the Yester holding into four but eventually, around 1515, the Hay family reunited it all.
