Notes for Katherine de Vere
Her husband's will appoints John (de Vere), earl of Oxford to be his supervisor. This was in 1504 and John de Vere, 13th earl and earl from 1462 untilhe died in 1515, must be Katherine's father. She was also left the manors of Cowley and Chicheley in Bucks for dower: I wonder if these had been in the de Vere family? (I even think I remember some story about the de Veres inheriting the Chichely manor...)
