Notes for Alexander Duncan
Daryl Coup reports that he m. Isobel Crawford on 26th August 1736 at Dundee and that she was baptised c. 1711 and finally that her parents were Henry Crawford and Ann Hay.
Daryl has found the parish register containing his baptism and transcribed it as:
“10 October 1709 George Duncan, writer to the signet, and Hellen Balfour, his spouse, A.S.N. [a son named] Alexander. Witnesses John Duncan laite Baillie, James Balfour [merct?] and Alexander Montieth chyrurgeon apothacary was born this day.”
Excellent.
