GEC in Comp Barts, I, 176, says her mother was ‘Jane, da. of Sir Lewis Pollard’; without further firm evidence, I think this is wrong and have accepted ODNB’s statement that ehr mother was Jane Prust, widow of Lewis Pollard. GEC further (II, 131) describes her as co-heir but the various ODNB articles deny that.
