Smith did not know her surname; the 1634 vis'n. said she was the dau. of William Burghill but this is almost certainly a confusion with the wife of wm Berkeley’s gt nephew.

She and William had 16 children, 9 sons and 7 daus of whom Smyth did not list the last six.
