Notes for Montague Drake
On the wall of St Mary's church, Amersham there is a memorial in Latin that seems to say that Montague Drake was born at Cottingham, Northants in 1638 and died on 1st Dec 1712.  Or else the memorial was placed by Montague and referred to someone else? The (locked) Drake chapel there should reveal all.

The Lincs pedigrees, pub Harleian 1904, Tyrwhit, p. 1022 show a Mary dau. of William Drake of Shardeloes, Bucks who m. 1704 Sir John Tyrwhit bt, d. 1714.  Presumably Wm was some relation of Montague?  This presages the later marriage, c. 1800, which led to the change of name from Drake to Tyrwhit-Drake.

June 2019, TFPL: In Michael Andrews-Reading's excellent account of the family he explains that Mountague Drake's father William Drake married Elizabeth Mountague and they had indeed a daughter Mary, sister to Mountague, who married into the Tyrwhitt family of Lincolnshire.

Notes for Montague & Jane (Family)
Boyd's marriage Index reports a Marriage Licence in the Chapel Royal Whitehall Licences of 1691.  This needs a tad more evidence.
______________

In fact the licence is to be found in G Armitage's "Marriage Allegations in the Registry of the Vicar-General of the Archbishop of Canterbury, vol 4, 1688-94, p. 202:

1691, Dec 1:  Montague Drake, of Shardelows, Bucks, esq., Bachr, abt 18 & Mrs Jane Garrard, da. of Sir John Garrard, of Whitehampstead, co. Herts, Bart, with the consent of their parents; alleged by John Lloyd of the Midd. Temple, Lond., Gent.; at St Giles in the Fields, Midd.,; also attested by James Boulding of Shardeloes.
