Apparently Reid (Transcriptions of the Dumfrieshire and Galloway Natural History and Antiquarian Society), re: Ivo de Vipont and Isabel de Lancaster; also Ragg in The Cumberland and Westmoreland Antiquarian Society., shows charters of Matilda de Morevill and her son Ivo de Vipont.
Apparently further this establishes that Robert de Vipont's parents were William de Veteripont and Maud dau of Hugh de Morville and Beatrice de Beauchamp.

A theory is doing the rounds that he and Idonea also had a dau. Christian who m. Thomas fitz William de Greystoke Evidence is awaited.
