Notes for Esilia Crispin
In his “Notices of an English branch of the Malet family”, pub printed by Harrison & Sons in 1885, p. 6, Arthur Malet asserts that Hesilia [sic] was ‘though a female, descended in the fourth generation from Richard II, Duke of Normandy. and therefore related to Duke William, the third in descent in the male line’. However while the realationship may be valid, the precise line is not made.
