Notes for Anthony Catesby
The Warks 1619 vistiation shows that he had a son Thomas who m. an Isabel Tresham. Sounds like paired brother-sister matches.
Further there was a dau. Dorothy of an Anthony Catesby who m. a Wm Dormer and had issue. Sounds like the same Anthony.
The Northants 1681 visitation starts with this Anthony Catesby. Perhaps the earlier Northants visitation of 1564 and 1618-9 will give some guidance on this. Copies are in SoG...

The following snippets were in the records I had of a duplicate Anthony - until I discovered they were the one and same person!
Might he have been the son of Sir Humphrey Catesby who d. 1504 and whose will in Testamenta Vetusta, p. 464, talks of a son Anthony? Certainly the Warks 1619 visitation seems to confirm this.
He is probably the same chap as the Anthony Catesby who had a son Thomas who m. Isabel Tresham and a dau; Eleanor who m. John Tresham.

The answer to all the above does indeed lie in the Northants vis’ns fo 1564 and 1618-19.
