As yet we do not know her surname, only her married name, as best as I can read it, of Binaepfel. But the 1881 census shows it as Binaephel.
In the 1881 census she was aged 55 and living at 4 President Street, St Luke, Middlesex with her husband Joseph and son Jules, and she was born in Paris, France.
In 1862, at the birth of her daughter Charlotte, she was living at 19 Clark Street, Mile End, Mx and gave birth there. This birth certificate gave her maiden name of Montraisin.
In the 1891 census, she was living with her husband (see him for details), aged 64 and born in Paris, France.
On the 1901 census, PRO ref RG 13/171, she was living with her daughter and son-in-law at 393 Holloway Road, Islington West, London and was 74 years old, born in France, but a British Subject.
In the 1911 census she was recorded solely as Justine Binaepfel, a widow aged 84, of no occupation, born in Paris, France and of French nationality.
