Notes for Bettrys (Beatrice) Gowen
Sept 2002, TFPL: Ronny Bodine says she was Margaret Rede, but the article in the Bucks Visitation says she was Bettrys Gowen (or Owen) - and then the Visitation gives chapter and verse to show why the Hampdens had a claim on the Gowen estates. I've passed the extract from the Visitation (a full page plus in the printed volume) on to Ronny Bodine for comment.
