The Herefords Visitations book also gives four prior Smyth generations but, for the usual reasons I have not included these.  The Smyth entry is a late addition as the Visitation was of 1569 and the entry includes "Tho. Powys of Henley, co. Salop, Esq" so must be 1650 or after.

Arms: Argent, on a mound vert, a lion passant regurardant proper.

Crest: A horse’s head sable, bridled or.  (’per R Cooke, 1590’)
