Notes for James de Cobham
The Surrey Arch Coll, Vol II, p. 193 confirms that James was a son of John and that he received land interests in the Hoo hundred; the deed says that the remainder of this gift was to their brother Reginald and that the Reginald eventually held this land. However the remainder clauses may have been in the male line only so we cannot be sure that James’ line expired.
