Notes for Lt Gen Edmond Wodehouse
Of the Wodehouse family of Kimberley, of which a junior branch m. a descendant of the Lilfords and the second baron m. a descendant of Sir Thos Powys’ day. Sarah. So we now have three separate connections to this family.
His FreeBMD death record gives his first name as ‘Edmond’, as do the 1881 and 1882 censuses so I am changing it to that from ‘Edmund’. Though in the 1871 census it looks very much like Edward.
In the 1881 census he was living with his wife and three servants at Jervis Lodge, Droxford, Hants.
