CB has a Sir John Powlett Orde, bt who was indeed 2nd bt, vol V, p. 264. b. 9 jan 1802, d. 13 dec 1878. But this looks rather early to be the grandfather of someone who d, in 1949; perhaps not, though. However Burke’s Peerage shows Jane Ellen as a daughter of this 2nd bart so I’m entering up from CB, as well as BP.
Bigg-Wither says a J Campbell Orde, bt. was uncle of Beatrice, so presumably a son of John Powlett.
