Notes for Sarah Jane Williams
She and her husband were second cousins and had 12 children of whom 9 reached adulthood, seven married and 4 had issue.
June Roughly gives her death, from the probate records, as 14th Feb 1886 at Russell Sq London. FreeBMD has no Sarah Jane Simeon who died around then but gives these three:
Aged 72, Q1 of 1866, St Pancras dist, vol 1b, p. 71 (a bit old for her children)
Aged 2, Q4 of 1877, Chorlton, vol 8c, p. 806 (is the age wrong?)
Aged 83, Q2 of 1903, Christchurch, vol 2b, p. 389 (the most plausible with June’s reported birth date of 1820)
However Reginald Bigg-Wither in his “Materials for a History of the Wither Family” gives 1903 for her death date and, with the above, I am accepting this.

Sept 2013, TFPL: On 13th May 1903, The Star of Christchurch, New Zealand published a death notice:
“SIMEON.--April 3, 1903, at Bournemouth, England, Sarah Jane Simeon, widow of Captain Simeon, formerly Magistrate at Lyttleton, Secretary of the Provincial Council, and one of the first members of the Canterbury Association; aged eighty-three.”
I have amended her death information accordingly (thanks to TOM who passed the cutting over to me).
