Notes for Thomas Pigot
May 2002: He is said confidently to have had a daughter Elizabeth who married John Lloyd and whose daughter Frances married David Yale, grandfather of Thomas Yale.
He is also confidently said to have had a son Thomas who had a second son Christopher who daughter Anne definitely married John Tipping. Evidences are being searched for, now.
July 2002: The evidence, a pedigree of the Pigots of 1598, confirms some of both of these: Elizabeth married John Lloyd and Christopher was a second son.
TFPL, Nov 2005: Robert Joseph Chapman publsied an article on the Yale descent through the Pigots in the January 1980 issue of The American Genealogist. In this article he quotes Thomas Pigot’s will and his legacy of one hundred pounds to his daughter Elizabeth. And he quotes a MI for her husband John Lloyd which clearly stated that he married Elizabeth dau. of Thomas Pigot of Doddershall, Bucks. Verb sap, I reckon.
