CP, VI, 79, note (d), adds on some surviving documents that they "leave the reader with the impression that Grey, like so many others in the time of henry VIII, was judicially murdered."
A Leonard Grey was a baron in the king’s retinue at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520, surely it was he.
