On 19th June 2006, “mep33” placed on s.g.m much of the account in the VCH for Huntingdonshire, vol 2, pp. 309-14, for the manor of Hemingford Grey which gave the wife of William Rufus to be Nichola de Hemingford and her descent from a Domesday tenant, Ralf son of Osmond.
VCH says he was a servant of Henry II, ie a member of his staff.
