The number and relationships of these William FitzAlans is not clear and an interesting discussion is to be found in soc.gen.med in May 2002. It seems that there may have been four Williams over four generations and the quesiton is which of these had the brother John. The latest (June 2002) vote seems to be that CP has John as son to the right William.
