Notes for William Trotter
The 1881 census has a William Trotter living at Hertford St, London and a Stock broker; he was born in Marylebone in c.1840. While married, his wife was not with him on census day. Additionally there is a William Trotter whose birth record is on FreeBMD for Maylebone, b. Q3 of 1839. While this all agrees with Armorial families, I have reservations, Trotter being such a common name, likewise plain William.
