Notes for Rev Walter Hill
m. (1) Annette Latty Bickley in 1864 at St James, Paddington, (2) jessie Holbech at Banbury.
Had 4 children, 2 of whom died in childhood. [But three sons were living in the 1891 census and all 20 or more.]
His birth could just be on FreeBMD in Q3 of 1838 at Alderbury, Wilts, vol 8, p. 234
There are far too many WH deaths on FreeBMD to work out his death date.

In 2014 Cathy Hill contacted me with this information about his death, her grandfather, from a newspaper cutting:
"HILL.--On the 6th inst., at Penzance, the Rev. WALTER HILL, late Vicar of Millington, Oxfordshire, aged 73, seventh son of the late Rev. Richard Humphry Hill, Vicar of Britford, Wilts."
Given that he was born in 1838 that would make the year of his death 1911.
I also have, from old family correspondence, info that his birthdate is 1838 June 19, and his death 1911 Sept 6.
This led to finding his death registration and his probate entry (see the Will section for the latter):
