Cooke is unclear on John's mother. The pedigree on p.45 shows her as Eliz Buxhull as Margery Bardolf is listed as dsp.  Yet on p. 37 he says clearly that John was the son of Margery and that the estate was entailed on him.  Anyhow he died early and the estate went to his half brother William, whom on page 41 Cooke says is the son of Elizabeth Buxhull.
