Deathbef 1130
GeneralTenant of Mowbray fees in Warks bef. 1114.
Notes for Henry de Montfort
K-R, DD 596 and 597: Probable father of Robert, Thurstan I. K-R disagrees with the received opinion that Henry was the brother of the Turstin who held the Mowbray fees in 1166 and says Henry was the father of this Turstin and of his elder brother Robert, who held the fees until his death 1141.
K-R allows that Henry may have had an earlier Tursin as a brother and that this Turstin (and he) were somehow connected with Henry earl of Warwick bef. 1000.
CP: Poss. s. of Roger de Beaumont & thus cousin to Henry, earl of Warwick.

TFPL, Aug 2006: In Collectanea Topographica et Genealogica, Vol I, (pub 1834) p.145, there is this very interesting pedigree from the Plea-Rolls (etc):
[Poss.] Fo. 14b. Esson’ et pl’ita coram Rege J..
Nescil’ annus
York. Turstanus de Monte fori peti med ville de Langeton v’ Eustachiie de Vescy.

This seems to confirm Keats-Rohan’s account - see above - and gives two generations prior to this Henry.
