Notes for Cicely Valoines
She is normally identified as merely "Cicely" but in April 2003, Rosie Bevan came up with an ecellent analysis of the Essex family and the core information of Cicely's name.
The best evidence of Cicely's family is a grant by Agnes de Waloniss to Gunnora de Essex, her niece (grandchild) and foster child of some land of two nights fees.
Rosie Bevan's posting to soc.genealogy.medieval was dated 18th April 2003 and had the title "Essex/Valognes/Fitz John".
