A footnote on p. 45 of “The Hamilton Manuscripts” adds about him: “Of Newcastlee, in the Ards, County Down, the ancestor of the present Viscount Bangor, in the Peerage of Ireland.”
He was mentioned as being alive in his brother James’ will of 1616, so must have died after that year.
