He m. Jane who m. (2) Sir Francis Compton.
Lilford was sold by the executors of William Elmes, brother and heir of Sir Thomas, to Sir Thos Powys in 1710, William having died in 1699. William was the last male Elmes. except for those that survived (there are quite a few later Elmes in Greens Norton but they may not be related or that may have been illegitimate which would of course have prevented any inheritance).
Dec 2006, TFPL: As yet I have been unable to find the line from the start of Elmes in Greens Norton to Sir Thomas.

“ARTHURUS ELMES filiu GULIELMI et MARGARETAE connubio junctus cum JANA filia JOHANNIS TREVOR Euitiis obit 270. Septembris Anno Dom 1663 AEtatis suae 32.”
=“ARTHUR ELMES Esq of of Lilford, son of WILLIAM and MARGARET, married to JANE, daughter of JOHN TREVOR, Knight, died 27th September 1663 aged 32.”
