His handling of his father’s will seems to have been somewhat shady and came in for some criticism in the House of Lords on 22 May 1848. Even after reading the judgement twice, I am still not sure quite what resulted. Perhaps I should try to get the judgement of the Master of the Rolls in the Appeal Court on 22nd Feb 1844.
