Notes for James Treadaway Hoare
In 1857 at the birth of his son James he was a metal dealer of 53 Wellington St, St Luke's Mx.

In 1861 at the time of his marriage to Sarah Hurrell they were living at 40 Compton Street, Clerkenwell.

In 1861 there was this family in the census at 44 Compton St, Clerkenwell, Mx
James Hoare, marr., 35, Carman, b. Clerkenwell, Middlesex
Sarah Hoare, wife, marr., 33, b. Clerkenwell, Mx
Edmund Hoare, Brother, unm., 18, Carman, b. at St Luke’s, Middlesex
James Hoare, ?son?, 4, b. at Clerkenwell, Mx

In 1880 at the marriage of his son James, he was probably living at 31 Headerstock St, (Mx?) and was a Licensed Victualler.  He must have been the James Hoare who signed as a witness.
________________________________________________________

In the 1881 census there was a James Hoare, aged 44, beer house keeper, living at 19 Compton St with his (new?) wife Alice, aged 20.  To be investigated!

June 2007, TFPL: FreeBMD had one possible marriage: Alice Annie Cook and James Hoare in Q4 of 1880, at St Savious (Southwark), vol 1d, p. 52.  But I am not quite convinced this is right.

In the 1891 census there is a family of a James Hoare with his wife Alice.  He was a glass and sign maker from Rochdale, Lancs - so I think this marriage is not of any Turner ancestors.
