Notes for Sir Stephen de Burghersh
According to St John Hope in his Garter Stall Plates, he had a daughter Maud who m. a Walter de Paveley and then had a son Walter who was a founder KG and who d. in 1375. Confirmed by Moor in ‘Kts of Ed I’ who had Maud as b. c. 1314; his wife was Cecily. CP in note (a), p. 426 of Vol II, confirms this and says Maud m. (2) Sir Thomas d’Aldon and had an heir Thomas, to the barony.
