Notes for John de Braose Lord of Bramber & Gower
Feudal baron (2nd class) of Bramber, Sussex.
He was given Bramber by his 3rd uncle Reynold who had acquired Abergavenny from his 2nd uncle Giles who had seized the barony, probably because he, John, was an infant minor. his father having died a year before his grandfather.
