Was he the same Thos Malmaynes whose daughter married a Nich Carew?  Both Thomases had properties in Kent at roughly the same time, 1300-1350. Both daughters are referred to as co-heirs.

Further Keats-Rohan in her Domesday Descendants, p. 1020, has some Malesmains of Folkestone alive c. 1166.
