Notes for John Ormond
In a very interesting account of the Butlers on s.g.m on 20th Jun 2006, Brad Verity shows that John Ormond was the second, illegitimate, son of John Butler, 6th earl of Ormond and Reynalda O’Brien. John O’s wife was Joan Chaworth, herself an heiress to three manors. Joan and Joan had three daus: Joan who m. (1) Thos Dynham, (2) Wm FitzWilliam; Anne who m. Wm Mering and dsp; Elizabeth who m. Anthony Babington.
