Armorial Blazon notes for Geoffrey de Mandeville Earl of Essex
CP says, Vol V, p. 126, note (a), his seal was that of Say, for his mother:
Quarterly or and gules.
The BOMC gives him:
Quarterly Or and Gules an escarbuncle counterchanged.
For his brother William, the C of A had:
Quarterly Or and Gules an escarbuncle Sable.
The NSMCD&B shows the same as C of A.
And Brit Dict Arms agrees with them both.
